Makeup bag is a daily essential for me, and I like to change up the stuff I carry around. I've recently added in more moisturizing products because my skin is getting worn out by the cold and dry weather. I want to share with you a sneak peak into my life on what I carry with me on a daily basis.
My current makeup bag is from one of MAC's previous collections. It has an elegant design and is spacious to store many items.
My skin is literally cracking up as we speak because the weather is so dry. I'm constantly slapping on body lotions because otherwise, it's just too painful.
I usually store some kind of moisturizers in my office, and for my body, I carry around my favorite scent from the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Collection. The Energy Orange Ginger Body Lotion is warm scented with long-lasting moisturization.
I've recently discovered the amazing Jurlique Rose Hand Cream. Rich in texture but light on finish, this is a great product with delightful scent.
I have to admit that I'm a bit of a clean freak, so hand sanitizer is a must in my makeup bag. There is no particular brand that I prefer, but I do like them to be unscented.
I also always remember to carry some kind of face moisturizer for that rare chance if I need to completely redo my makeup, which has definitely happened before. This Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster Serum is full of hyaluronic acid and dual-action peptides, which are great for skin hydration. I like to layer this under my foundation.
Softlips PURE is certified organic and is all-natural. I have this in various flavors. Honeydew is my favorite with a great smell and feels extremely soft on the lips.
In addition to my lip balm, I like to pair it with a colored lip product. MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner (Petting Pink) is a great choice with light color payoff and creamy texture. Unfornatuely, this limited edition item won't last long on the lips. It's really more just like an on-the-go product.
Touch up foundations and concealers are definitely necessary parts of my makeup bags. I like to often switch them around, which are great opportunities to try out various products in my office's air conditioned environment.
I picked up this Loreal White Perfect Pearl Trio-Tone Powder Foundation in SASA when I traveled to Hong Kong. This Asia exclusive product has been adored by many Chinese beauty bloggers, and it sure doesn't disappoint.
Not much review is needed for this cult favorite product. The YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT Radiant Touch is easy to use and is great at concealing the under eye area.
Natural makeup look is what I usually wear to work, so I always bring with me an eyeshadow palette just in case if I need to touch up my eye makeup.
If you are searching for a drugstore line with high quality products, definitely give Visee a try. This Japanese brand carries some very high quality eyeshadows at very affordable prices.
And I'm going to finish off with my favorite eye liner, the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Zero). Long lasting and smudge proof. What more can I ask for.
I hope you enjoyed reading some of my current daily favorites, and some of them even made it onto my best beauty products list of 2012, which you can read here and here. ~Angela
