Girls’ Generation Tiffany I Got A Boy Inspired Makeup Tutorial｜A Fierce And Powerful Smokey Eye For An Unforgettable New Years Celebration

If you are interested in Korean pop culture, Girls Generation (소녀시대) should certainly not be a strange name. Created by star powerhouse SM Entertainment, the 9 ladies of Girls Generation is one of the most influential and successful female idol groups in Asia. 

Leading up to the launch of their 4th Korean album, the group has released teaser photos for each member, and what caught my attention is their mature and sexy style, which is very different than the usual girly and cute images.

For this smokey eye tutorial, I tried to recreate the sexy and fierce eye makeup worn by Tiffany. This is a great look for that special News Years celebration.

STEP 1: Paint a light brown shade all over your lid.

STEP 2: Apply a deep brown color to the second half of your lid and also drag out the shadow to create a cat eye.

STEP 3: Take a charcoal navy shade and apply it to the second half of your lid. You want to intensify the eye makeup.

STEP 4: Apply a dark purple color to your entire lower lash line.

STEP 5: Line the middle part of your upper lash line with a green eye liner.

STEP 6: Take a black eyeliner and line the entire upper and lower lash line.

STEP 7: Add a nude shimmering color to the center of your lid as highlight and apply a little bit to the center of your bottom lash line as well.

Put on some false lashes, and we are finished with this smokey eye look.

This look may be a bit too much for daytime, but it's perfect for that special occasion, especially for all the upcoming New Years parties. The only unfortunate thing is that I don't own a pair of green contact lens, because I really love how Tiffany rocks the colorful makeup look with her bright hair color.

And since I also wasn't impressed at all with the Naked 2, I've been waiting for a new launch in this cult favorite collection.

The upgraded rubberized packaging is a huge improvement, and the travel friendly size is easy for storage. Urban Decay does amazing craftsmanship on their product packaging. The letters on the front are actually embossed instead of just an imprint.

I really appreciate the fact that Urban Decay decided to not include an eyeliner or makeup brush in this palette, and the giant mirror is easy to use and is very useful.

This is a great palette to have for both natural and party looks. I use this for my office makeup and then again to create a smoky eye for after work gatherings.

The shadows have great staying power and gorgeous color payoff. On my oily eyelids, the shadows last for at least 6 - 7 hours, and their texture is extremely smooth and soft. Overall, this is just a great product to have, even if you already own the previous Naked palettes.

It’s the palette EVERY woman needs in her beauty arsenal.

Christmas Makeup Tutorial｜Holiday Purple Delight

This is my second holiday makeup tutorial, and I thought I would try something a bit different. Rather than the usual red, green, or golden looks that we've been seeing for the holiday season, I went with a purple and golden look, which is still suitable for Christmas parties, but showcases a sexier and more romantic finish.

The products I used are,

1. Kate Eyeshadow Palette (BK-1)
2. Coffret D'or C-curve Eyes (#07 Limited Edition)
3. Nars Duo Eyeshadow (Melusine)
4. Nars Shimmer Eyeshadow (Etrusque)
5. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Ransom)

Take a shimmering silver shadow and paint it all over the eyelid.

Take a golden shade and put it on the front 1/3 of the eyelid.

Apply a pale lilac color to the last 1/3 of the eyelid.

Take a dark purple shade and create a sideway V shape on the eyelid and also darken the crease.

Line the upper and lower lash line with a purple color eyeliner. For a bolder look, you can go with a black or brown liner in stead. 

I truly adore this look. It's a very unique look compared to the makeup that you usually see around the holiday time, but it's still festive and shimmering enough for the Christmas celebration. I hope you like this look and wish you a wonderful holiday.

Christmas Makeup Tutorial｜Let Me Give You Some Gold and Green Glamour

I really can't believe that Christmas is almost here, and to celebrate this festive holiday, I'll be revealing several holiday nail art and makeup tutorials. This golden and green eye look is inspired by the glamorous and dazzling colors of the holiday season.

The products I used are

First take a light golden color and apply it to all over the eyelid. This Nars Single Eye Shadow in Silent Night is absolutely beautiful on the skin but has tons of fallout, so you may want to use an eyeshadow base with this.

Take a darker golden shade and spread it over the second half of the eyelid.

Now take an emerald green and apply to the lower lash line.

Use the same green shade and apply it to the eye crease.

Intensify the look by adding more dark green color on the lower lash line as well as the eye crease. The Nars Night Series is a beautiful collection of dark (almost black) shades that is great for party or bold makeup.

To finish off the look, line the upper and lower lash line with black eye liner. I've been testing this Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, and it's been an exceptional product.

Since we are creating a holiday look, glitters are definitely a necessity. Take a silver glitter liner and line the middle part of the lower lash line. This creates a glamorous and sparkling effect.

Homemade Honey and Olive Oil DIY Face Mask｜The Perfect Remedy For Dry Skin

I'm a big fan for do-it-yourself projects because there is just something special about DIY beauty products because it feels like a mini spa right in my kitchen. I usually learn my recipes from friends and families, beauty magazines, and other bloggers. This Honey and Olive Oil Face Mask has been one of my favorites, and it works great during these cold months because it's extremely moisturizing. 

The ingredients in this mask are very simple and are things you can usually find in your kitchen.

• Honey
• Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• Water
• A small bowl or cup for mixing
• Spatula  
• Measuring spoon 

Honey is probably one of the best nutrition for our skin. It contains anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial abilities that are great for skin that has been exposed to UV lights or for people like myself who experience acne problems. 

On the other hand, olive oil is a wonderful remedy for dry skin along with anti-oxidant properties to help combat UV ray damages and to improve cell regeneration. When using it on the skin, the best choice is to use extra virgin, which is its purest form.

This DIY mask is easy to make, and please remember to sanitize all your tools. I like to wipe everything with rubbing alcohol beforehand. OK, now let's start.
 
Step 1: Pour 1 tablespoon (tbsp) of honey into the mixing bowl.

Step 2: Pour 1/2 (half) tbsp of extra virgin olive oil into the bowl. For the purpose of taking pictures, I used a lot more than what I actually needed, but usually 1/2 tbsp is more than enough.

This next step is optional. If you like to go with a thicker texture, then you are done for adding ingredients. Otherwise, add 1/3 tbsp of water.

Now give it a quick swirl and mix everything with the spatula. The finished product is quite watery, so you will want to be careful when applying this. 

I Leave the mask on the skin for about 20 min. and then go ahead and wash it off with your routine face cleansing. The olive oil makes it quite oily, but it actually feels very nice on the skin. The mask is super moisturizing and is a great treat for the skin during the fall season.
