This is the second part of my favorite beauty products of 2012, which sums up some of the best makeup, hair, and bath and body products that I've experienced. You can read about part 1 here.
BeautyMaker is a cosmetic brand created by famous Taiwanese makeup artist Kevin and offers high quality beauty products at inexpensive prices. My favorite product from the brand is the Aqua Eye Concealer. With a creamy texture and high coverage, this is a great and long lasting under eye concealer.
The famous Yves Saint Laurent TOUCHE ÉCLAT Radiant Touch has been loved by both beauty bloggers and celebrities. I use this both for under eye concealing as well as a highlighter for my face.I like to layer the Naruko Narcissus Total Defense BB Cream Essence under my foundation, and it helps my base makeup lasts longer. For those lazy days, I just slap this on. It provides great moisturization as well as light coverage.
I took a week long vacation in Boston last year and brought nothing but the Dior Diorsnow UV Shield White Reveal BB Creme SPF 50 PA+++. It offers great coverage and sun protection. Under the summer heatwave, I was surprised that I didn't have a makeup meltdown.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup is one of my favorite foundations because I've probably used this in every makeup tutorials. Although I'm not too fond of the sponge applicator, this is an amazing product that slides onto the skin and provides good moisturization and coverage.
I love the creamy and soft texture of the Dior Serum de Rouge Lipstick. It provides rich color payoff without the stickyness that you often find with opaque lipsticks.
When it comes to shiny eye makeups, no one has it better than Jill Stuart. Other than the romantic packaging that has girls lusting after, Jill Stuart offers some very amazing beauty products. Its Jelly Eye Color has a cream mousse texture and is infused with tons of sparkles. It's easy to apply and adds that extra shimmer to any looks.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner performs just as what it promises - waterproof, long lasting, intense, and doesn't smudge. Works like a gem, this is by far one of the best liquid eye liners I've ever tried.
There are so many choices on the market when it comes to eye liners, but Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Eyeliner is definitely one of the best and applies like a gel liner but stays put like a waterproof liquid liner.
Visee Glam Shade Eyes is a high quality palette with vibrant colors. The texture of these shadows is smooth and gives intense color payoff. Overall, Visee is a great Japanese drugstore cosmetics brand if you are searching for superior products at affordable prices.
If you are asking for beautiful and top quality eye makeup, Lunasol is a great pick. One of Kanebo’s prestigious brands, Lunasol is famous for its amazing eye shadows, which reveal gorgeous sparkles and applies beautifully on the lid.
My body has been drenched in the extreme cold weather here in California, and that only means one thing - dry skin. I'm slapping on some hand cream as I type this post, and I have to thank the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream from saving my chapped hands. This InStyle winner hydrates my skin well without leaving any residues on my hands.
The best thing to pair up with my beloved Jurlique Rose Hand Cream is the best selling Kiehl's Creme de Corps. Its rich and fragrance free texture instantly soothes my dry skin without leaving any residues behind. Definitely a salvation during the cold Winter months.
I have damaged and fine hair, which means it's quite particular when it comes to hair care products. Out of all the new shampoos and conditioners I've tried out this pass year, the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Shampoo is very impressive. I'm not sure about the anti-aging claim, but it's wonderful for my fragile and thin hair without weighing them down.
My mom is an organic fanatic, and since I'm trying to gradually transform to more natural and organic products, I can't pass on this Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Shampoo, which turns out to be fantastic. It's gentle enough for my daily wash and provides moisturization without overwhelming my hair. And the best part is the heavenly and calming Lavender scent.
Last but certainly not least, the Korres Shower Gel has really astound me for its great performance. I didn't expect much from this, but I love how it cleanses well without leaving my skin squeaky dry.
This sums up some of the best beauty products that I came across with in 2012. Unfortunately, there are many more that couldn't make onto my list, which I'm hoping to review them in the future. I hope you enjoy these posts and let's wish for another year with lots of wonderful products.

Gina, I would highly recommend that liner. It's a really great product.
DeleteWow, I am so amazed. I love your blog as a guide for beauty products. Your site is very helpful for young women like me as it's hard to choose products to use for my lifestyle and skin. :)

Thanks for the sweet comment Aurora.
DeleteAll of these products look amazing! I loved my Maybelline concealer but it didn't cover as much as I'd have liked it to especially since it is a bit pricer for the drugstore and I had to use so much of it! The Diorsnow BB cream looks amazing! Love this post
ReplyDeletegiveaway!
Katie, the Dior bb cream is really good. I'd definitely recommend you to try it out.
DeleteWonderful roundup! I've heard lovely things about Lunasol shadows, they're next on my high end eye makeup list :) Probably try to wait awhile for those though, since I just splurged on a Guerlain palette LOL. And omg I love Jill Stuart packaging! Their eye jellies have been on my wish list for a long time, but I've held off purchasing so far. What's your favorite shade?
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are 08, 09, 11, and 13.
DeleteGreat post, and great blog - I love your layout!!!

Thanks Jana. If you want to try the Caviar shampoo, Sephora has a travel kit where you get a the shampoo and the conditioner.
DeleteAwesome picks, Id love to try that concealer and the bb creams. Envious of that lunasol quad! Look amazing. I'm a huge fan of the clio gelpresso liner too! Those were great looking products for 2012, hope you have a great year ahead! ^^
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharlynn. Clio liners are definitely the best.
DeleteOh, so many great products! I'd pick some of them for my beauty favourites too - the Kiehl's body lotion is the best and Dior lipstick too. Great picks, great blog :).

Happy New Years to you too Gita :)
DeleteOoh I'm going to have to try Lunasol - I've tried some stuff from Kanebo's KATE line and, well, it has left me a tad disappointed (which was sad for me as I am a big fan of one of their ambassadors, Nakashima Mika)!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good weekend! :)
Sarah (@ a beautiful story)
Nakashima Mika is definitely very beautiful. I don't think you'll be disappointed with Lunasol. So far, other than hoping for a cheaper price tag, I can't think of anything bad of their products.
DeleteYou have some really great picks in there, Angela! I love Avalon Organics--their vit C toner and serum are awesome! They also have a lavender serum that is very soothing for nighttime as well! and the Lunasol shadows--*swoon*!!! I've been DYING to try Lunasol for a long, long time! I wish it were more easily available here :/
ReplyDeleteWow, I'll have to get more Avalon Organics products. I probably would have never get to know this brand if it wasn't for my mom who picked up the shampoo.
DeleteGreat products! I want to try the Dior Snow BB Cream!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely give it a try. I can't say that it's the best bb cream out there but it's pretty amazing.
DeleteI agree with your list! We love some of the same products — Maybelline concealer, Korres body wash, Jurlique hand cream and Dior Snow BB cream. You've got good taste ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment :)
DeleteLove this! Lunasol eyeshadow looks so beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteSame here, Lunasol definitely makes some beautiful shadows.
DeleteWow, you've got many products here that I'd never heard of, as well as whole brands I'd never heard of. I'm going to look into the Korres shower gel! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, thank you for your sweet comment. I love to explore new brands and sometimes I do end up finding great products. The Korres shower gel is definitely a great purchase, especially if you can find them on sale. I'd say wait for a Sephora sale or sometimes Korres also runs its own sale on its website. That will be a great time to stock up on these.
DeleteWonderful recap on 2012. and your most beloved products.
ReplyDeleteI love these kinds of posts and will try to incorporate them in my blog as well :)
