Zoya PixieDust Nail Polish Collection|Get Ready For Some Glitter Galore

A quick browse through my nail polish stash reveals a dominance of Zoya products. I know there are girls out there who swear by some of the bigger polish brands such as OPI and China Glaze, but personally, my favorite pick is definitely Zoya for I love the long lasting and opaque results.

I would like to introduce to you the newest addition to my Zoya assortment, the enchanted and magical PixieDust Nail Polish Collection ($9 for 15 ml), which comes in 6 gorgeous shades.

I grabbed Dahlia (black), Godiva (beige), and Nyx (light blue). From my experience so far, the sparkle effect is the largest with darker shades, so Dahlia, Chyna (deep red), and London (gray) will be your best choices if you can't decide on which color to purchase.

If you think the glittery polishes look fascinating in photos, wait until you see them in person. The sparkly and shiny finish is glamorous, and the textured formula is trendy and sleek.

Compared to regular Zoya polishes, these run quite thin, so a minimum of 3 coats are required to achieve an opaque look. However, each layer dries up very quickly, so a full manicure shouldn't be too time consuming.

No base and top coat is needed because the matte finish is a unique characteristic of this formula. But the trick to an even and long lasting wear is to let each layer complete dries up before applying the next one.

As usual with Zoya polishes, these last on my nails for at least a week with no visible chips.

The sparkles are a lot more multidimensional and flattering in person, so I would highly recommend you to check this collection out. Please do keep in mind that the textured formula creates a slight rough finish, so if having a glossy smooth feel is your thing, you better skip these.

I've seen some bloggers compare the Zoya PixieDust polishes to the OPI Liquid Sand. I don't own anything from that OPI collection, so I can not claim for sure if they are identical. However, upon looking at some swatches, I'd say that Zoya did a better job. The colors are more versatile and the sparkles are much finer.

Overall, a wonderful and long wearing collection for anyone who desires beautiful and unique lacquers. Although requiring more work than usual to achieve a complete finish, the fast drying formula makes the task much easier.

Will you be joining the bandwagon of textured polishes? What color is your favorite out of the entire collection? Leave your answers in the comments.

    1. Kimberley, Nyx is definitely my favorite. I didn't get London, but I think the gray shade would be beautiful as well.

  6. I was so excited to see this post, I've been eyeing those polishes, the whole collection looks awesome! I'm kind of disappointed to hear they take three layers for full opacity. Still, they do look lovely :)

    1. Catherine, the texture is very thin. Quite different than my regular Zoya polishes. I've been reading more on these now, and I think so far, most bloggers agree that these are really thin. I think it may have something to do with the special textured formula. 3 layers are quite a lot because I usually only apply 2 coats no matter what brand of polish I'm using. However, the formula dries up super fast, so it actually didn't take much longer than my other polishes.

    1. Elisa, you may want to check to see if there are online retailers who carry Zoya in your country. Try Amazon and eBay as well.
