Girls' Generation Tiffany I Got A Boy Inspired Makeup Tutorial|An Eye Catching Sparkle Look

This will be my last makeup tutorial inspired by the new album I Got A Boy from the Korean idol group Girls' Generation (소녀시대). I had lots of fun working on these looks, and if any K-Pop celebrities can channel my beauty creativity in the future, I'll certainly assemble more inspired looks for you.

At around the 3:37 mark into the I Got A Boy music video, Tiffany has a solo part, where she wears this funky orange wig. If you can overlook the weird outfit and hair style, you'll spot her beautiful and glittery eye makeup.

This is actually my second attempt at creating this look because I got carried away with all the sparkles and glitters the first time, and that wasn't pleasant at all. And not to talk about the massive cleaning afterward.

Products I used,

  1. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Bourbon)
  2. MAC Mega Metal Shadow (Paparazz-She)
  3. MAC Glitter (Reflects Gold)
  4. Stila Smudge Pot (Black)
  5. Maybelline ExpertWear Eyeshadow Quad (Chai Latte)

Apply a nude shimmered base all over the lid.

Paint an orange shadow on outer part of the crease.

Line the outer half of your lower lash line with a dark brown shade.

Create a cat eye with a black gel liner, widen the end, and fill in any empty space.

This is quite tricky because I couldn't find the exact color as what Tiffany used. I ended up using my MAC Glitter in Reflects Gold, and you'll definitely have to be extremely careful with this step for there will be massive fallout. Apply the glitter to the tear duct area and dab some on the middle part of your upper lid as well.

Line your lower lash line with a brown eyeliner.

I'm not naturally gifted with long lashes, so false lashes are always my choice. However, you can finish this by adding your favorite mascara, and you'll have a gorgeous look.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on some good ways to incorporate glitters into your makeup looks. Do you find them hard to work with? And what are effective tools to prevent fallout? Leave your ideas in the comments.   ~Angela

  1. Really great recreation! I love the makeup in the vid, the girls look gorgeous. I get so much fallout from glitter! I put a tissue under my eyes to cover my face and protect it from the fallout x

    1. Coco, using a tissue paper is a great idea. I ended up using a small piece of paper, but it's kind of hard to it was moving around. Then I had a lot of fall out. I'm going to try your idea next time.

    3. Thanks Tina. I don't usually wear glitters, but once in a while, it's quite fun to do a more dramatic look.

    1. Katie, Mac Reflects Glitters are really amazing products. They don't look that attractive in the bottle. but they look so good once applied.

    1. Janet, you are so sweet. I don't think I'm really that good at recreating looks though. I tend to choice looks that are not complicated, so it's relatively easier for me to work with.

  6. I like all the sparkle on the lower lash line! I always highlight a part of mine instead of lining all the way in, because the closes my eyes instead! Great job, Angela!

    1. Sunny, I'm not really good with glitters or extremely shiny colors. That's probably why you don't often see those shades on me.

  7. Beautiful recreation! I really love that coppery pinky shade. If I'm using any glitter, I will always do foundation afterwards and really clean up the under eye area, to make sure I don't get any sparkle in my foundation :)

    1. Catherine, that is a great idea. Sometimes I still do my foundation first, but I will skip the under eye concealing until I'm finished applying glitters. Then I clean up all the fallout and then apply concealer.

    1. Definitely give it a try. I never really use orange shade in my looks, but I'm glad I did this tutorial. I actually really like how Tiffany used just a tiny bit of orange to warm up her entire look. I can't remember the exact numbers (so sorry), but I'm wearing Dolly Wink on my lower lashes. For my upper lash, I cut up a pair of Ardell lashes.
