Physicians Formula launched some exciting beauty products for 2013, for example the new Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Airbrushing Bronzing Veil Deluxe Edition ($15.99 for 12g), which comes in 2 shades - light/medium and medium/dark.
The most attractive feature is certainly the elegant design of a bursting sun. The depiction will eventually wear off, but this doesn't change the exquisiteness of this compact.
As I've mentioned previously, the bulky packaging doesn't suite my taste. In this case, the included face brush is also flimsy, hard to use, and a bit coarse. Other than this minor imperfection, this bronzing veil reveals one of the most beautiful sheen I've ever seen.
You get the best of both worlds with this product. It feels like a cream base, applies like a powder, and finishes as a baked bronzer. Light/medium is a perfect shade for me, and it creates a luxurious yet natural glow on the face that melts right into the skin, giving me that air-brushed touch.
My favorite attribute of this product is the radiant and beaming luminosity it leaves on my skin. It's not the kind of dirty or orange look that you often get from fake tan or overdone facial bronzer. Instead, it builds a healthy glow that provides a lit-from-within look that is gorgeous and beautiful for all types of makeup.
It also has great staying power and doesn't move on my oily skin for the entire day. This is perfect to be paired with a dewy foundation for that sun-kissed look or with a matte base for that extra shimmer, which brings me to the point to mention that the embedded shimmer in this bronzer is so subtle and fine that it works absolutely well over pores. Unfortunately, this is not buildable, so if you are searching for a deeper tan, try out the medium/dark shade.
To conclude, this is an excellent bonzer that delivers a natural and subtle glow. The soft and smooth powder is easy to apply and provides an air-brushed finish for a charming look. Definitely an A+ material in my book.
This comes with a $3 off manufacturing coupon attached and can be combined with any other store sale(s) and/or coupon(s), making it a very affordable price for such a big sized product.
I've been talking a lot about some of the newest products from Physicians Formula, which has a long track record of creating supreme beauty collections. Well, one of these is actually a veteran product that I'm currently loving - the Happy Booster™ Glow & Mood Boosting Blush ($11.99 for 7g) in warm.
For those who aren't familiar with the brand's Happy Booster™ line, these products are infused with natural plant extracts that promote happy sensation by mimicking the effect of Endorphins. It's up to you to distinguish between scientific claims and marketing gimmicks, but the reality is that we all love a product that looks nice and gives good result.
It's definitely not a mere coincidence that the flashy pink packaging and the included duo tone brush have been receiving love calls from so many girls. We love pink (at least for the majority of us), and that's simply a true statement. Although I'm not too fond of the usual bulky packaging from Physicians Formula, the product inside is top-notch.
Again, this is not a dramatic product that provides deep pigmentation like with blushes from MAC and Nars. Nonetheless, it adds a lovely pink tint to the cheekbone. It's the kind of flush that makes the skin looks healthy and beautiful.
This hypoallergenic blush contains tons of extremely fine pearls, which reveal an elegant iridescence. A quick swirl over the colors gives a soft pink shade. This is not a matte blush, but the subtle shimmers are actually almost unnoticeable and definitely don't accentuate my pores.
Oops! Excuse me of my tired eyes. I was blinded by the camera flash.
The best part of this product is the natural flush it leaves on the skin. It provides such a gorgeous color that looks like a natural glow from within rather than achieved with an artificial blush.
Overall, this is a wonderful product that aims to create a natural and soft tint. It will brighten up any makeup looks and add that extra pop of color to the face.
I'm quite impressed by these Physicians Formula products, which are great options for budget friendly purchases. They are even comparable to some high end brands, and with the vast selection of makeup items, you'll for sure score some for your needs. And I highly recommend everyone, especially combination and oily skin, to check out the BB powder, which takes the recent trend to a whole new level. It performs like a liquid base and functions as a dry powder, leaving a perfect and smooth base for your makeup application.
