The Unprofessional Beauty Blog values the importance and integrity of honest, fair, and transparent reviews and blog articles. This is why I have prepared the following statement to help you better understand how I review, select, rate, and disclose all reviews and blog editorials.

I purchase most of the products and services mentioned on this blog. Occasionally, I am very honored to have brands and/or their PR representatives offer me free and/or discounted products and/or services, which will always be submitted for editorial consideration only. Consideration means that these submitted products and/or services do not guarantee a review or inclusion on this blog. My priority has been and will always be my readers, so I only share my honest opinions with you. As the writer behind this blog, I reserve all editorial control and rights for all contents on my blog, including reviews and blog posts of submitted products and/or services.

When I do mention such products and/or services that are provided to me free of charge or with a discount, you can be assured that proper disclosures will be included in the blog article. You will see 2 types of disclosures. 

Type 1

Per the updated policies (Mar. 2013 Ver.) by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), you will now see 1 or more disclosure buttons at the beginning of a post containing provided products and/or services.

I also love to work with brands and their PR teams on sponsored giveaways because they offer great opportunities for my readers to try out products and/or services. Each giveaway has its own terms and conditions, which will be disclosed within the giveaway article.

I am not a professional beauty consultant or certified dermatologist. All reviews and opinions expressed on this blog are based on my personal experiences, which may create different results and reactions for different people. All contents on this blog should be read as it. If you have any questions, please consult your physician or a certified expert.

I try to provide clear and unbiased reviews for my readers. You will find a reference to the following rating system included in each review article. All products and/or services are evaluated based on multiple factors, including but not limited to product packaging, performance and effect, product qualities and craftsmanship, pigmentation and color payoff, texture and consistency, price value ratio, and application and user experience. To put all reviews in perspective, each product and/or service is given a letter grade, from F (lowest) to A+ (highest). 

Please always keep in mind that each rating is based on multiple factors, which means a low scored product and/or service does not necessarily results in bad performance. Vise versa, an excellent product and/or service in my opinion may not work that well for everyone else.

Honesty is the golden rule, so please don't get offended if I dislike your favorite products and/or services. It's nothing personal, but how I truly feel. With that said, if I praise a certain brand, you can be assured that it offers some amazing treats.
